Time - Guided tour of gardens at 2.00pm

Cost - Members £20 per person to include coach, entry into gardens and guided tour by the Head Gardener.

A 10 acre historic garden, at the centre of a picturesque Cotswold village, nestled amongst Capability Brown inspired Parkland. The Garden compromises vast formal lawns skirted by a series of rills and ponds which reflect the ancient plane trees that are dotted throughout the garden. The south side of the house has a formal terrace with mixed borders and yew hedging, overlooking a formal lawn with a reflection pool and yew topiary. Running parallel to the pool is a long mixed border which repeats its colours of silver and gold down to the pool house.

In addition to intricate tulip planting schemes in formal borders and pots, swathes of naturalized bulbs may be enjoyed in the glorious spring meadows and woodland gardens

The gardens at Hampton Court Castle offer plenty to explore, including a maze, beautiful herbaceous borders, water features and fantastic views of the forest backdrop. The river walk provides the opportunity to further explore the estate, offering stunning views of the Castle from across the ha-ha wall and a taste of the surrounding Herefordshire countryside.

There is a cafe available, The Orangery Cafe serves light lunches along with cakes, refreshments at own expense.  

 

The Frank P Mathews Tree Shop was established over twenty years ago to offer a retail outlet. They have a wonderful selection of the very best delicious fruit and beautiful ornamental trees, the trees are grown on the nursery. They also have a good selection of shrubs, house plants, roses and much more. There is also a takeaway cafe available at own expense.

cMembers Social Evening

          Monday 14th July from 6.30pm
