ABOUT US

Dodford Gardening Club is small and friendly, our members range from the novice to the experienced gardener. We meet on the Second Monday of each month apart from August when we have a summer break. Indoor meetings are held in:

DODFORD VILLAGE HALL

PRIORY ROAD, DODFORD

BROMSGROVE WORCS. B61 9DD

at 7.45pm

Our indoor programme runs from October to May, it is quite varied and hopefully appeals to many. During the summer months we visit a members garden and organise an outing to a garden of interest.

September is when members can exhibit their home grown produce at The Dodford Showwhich is held annually on the first Saturday in September in the village hall. The Show is jointly organised by the Gardening Cub and the Womens Institute. Vegetables, Fruit, Flowers, Pot Plants, Eggs, Cookery, Preserves and Floral arrangements can be exhibited with friendly rivalry between exhibitors. At the end of the show the left over produce is sold off.

Come along to any meeting, non members are always welcome for a small fee of £3.00 per meeting to include free tea or coffee and biscuits.

We are always happy to enrol new members, the annual subsciption fee is £15.00 and is paid at the October meeting. However, it is possible to become a member at any time of the year and the subscription fee is then calculated on a pro- rata basis, e.g. if joining at the January meeting the fee is £10.50 for the remainder of the year.
